Schneider Electric is Hiring a Marketing Manager Near Louisville, KY

The Marketing Manager is a skilled collaborator and leader who will play a major role in managing, planning and executing high quality programs for our RECA (Renewable Energy Carbon Advisory) globally. A large focus of this position will also include marketing and advancing the development of Schneider’s Tax Credit Transfer offer. You will be a member of a global sustainability marketing team and a critical collaborator with sales, client management and delivery teams. You will spearhead value-add activities ranging across campaign development, sales enablement and major third-party event sponsorships. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and creative individual to join a highly engaged and effective team in a rewarding and rapidly changing market space. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, who enjoys gaining a deep understanding of the evolving marketplace and creating new and compelling tools to make our teams successful. The successful candidate will also enjoy gaining a deep understanding of the evolving renewable energy marketplace and create new and compelling thought leadership tools, to help deepen our team’s positioning in both sustainability and the renewable energy space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Market Understanding & Editorial Development: Develop a deep understanding of global market trends and influences on the renewables landscape, and how they could impact our marketing strategy. Contribute insights and perspectives to influence go-to-market strategy with RECA leadership. This may be inclusive of penning white papers, case studies, articles and other content-market-driven initiatives, owned by the candidate, and in partnership with a sales and consulting team.
  • Strategic Marketing/Campaigns: Deliver an innovative, customer-centric marketing plan to support the annual business priorities, leveraging tactics across the marketing mix [paid, owned and earned]; adapt tactics to opportunities as they arise and update stakeholders on a quarterly basis to support investment guidance and changes to customer needs. 
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Constant interaction with internal/external stakeholders to ensure prompt alignment, timeliness, communication and flawless execution of all marketing activity. Communicate marketing plan and results to commercial leadership and cross functional leadership quarterly. 
  • Sales Enablement: Listen for and understand client needs and market opportunity. Assist in providing tools the teams need to open and extend productive dialogues. These tools could include slideware, cut sheets, sales scripts, offer-related training, or training on new digital platforms to engage in digital relationship-building in our increasingly virtual world, and more.
  • Customer Stories: Strategically leverage and amplify customer stories, and executive and/or subject-matter-expert speaking engagements within your marketing plan. 
  • Event Strategy and Support: Support and develop event activity for major third-party events aligned with RECA leadership, and in coordination with broader Schneider Electric as necessary.

  • Measurement and Insights: Apply a test-and-learn approach to all marketing activity. Analyze existing data and historical trends to understand what is working best and adapt quickly, sharing your learnings with the team.
  • Content Creation: We are a nimble team, working with our experts in a fast-moving market. In this role, working independently and collaboratively, unleash your creativity when designing engaging, attractive, effective written pieces in a wide range of formats, within brand guidelines. These include blog articles, white papers, and 3rd party research presentations, as well as identifying emerging platforms and mediums. An eye for strong messaging, writing and developing crisp value propositions, is key to success.

Essential skills, qualifications

  • A track record of delivering value and innovation in previous marketing roles
  • Experience in renewable energy or sustainability industries strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive GTM strategies, synthesize complex topics, create compelling value propositions and sales tools. Some mix of writing, design, and/or presentation samples must be provided. 
  • An aptitude for graphic design is beneficial. These skills will be used to ensure our assets are effective and compelling (including pagination layouts, graphics, slideware, etc.) for both internal and external use. Advanced PowerPoint skills preferred.
  • Exposure to event planning, including agenda development, logistics management, and an excitement for creating engaging and educational experiences
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills, with experience using workflow management platforms like Monday.com and Teams
